It is with great excitement that we announce the official reissue of a french folk true lost gem, Laurent ANGRAND and Patrick ROBIN’s MARE LA LANDE lp on FRANCE BIZARRE RECORDS and REGLIS RECORDS.

Originally released in 1974 on Palma and distributed by Arfolk in an unknown quantity (around 300 copies according to producer Richard LOURY), the duo parted ways right before the album was presented to the public which made it quite difficult to market at the time. Most of the pressing went to Artfolk, probably to remainder afterward and get lost in time and space..

MARE LA LANDE is a testimony that french folk from the 70’s could easily compete with their english and american counterparts. With the expressivity of a Bert Jansch, the vibe of a sunset sighting on Laurel Canyon and a peculiar french aftertaste, this record deserves to be put into light once again nearly 50 years after its first occurrence.

With the approval of Patrick ROBIN, Richard Loury, Arfolk and on behalf of the memory of Laurent ANGRAND, we’ve been working for the past few months on a reissue with original artwork and a brand new master for maximum sound and visual quality that encapsulated the greatness of this singular record.

C'est avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme que nous vous annonçons la réédition de l'album MARE LA LANDE de Laurent ANGRAND et Patrick ROBIN sur FRANCE BIZARRE RECORDS et REGLIS RECORDS.

Initialement sorti en 1974 sur Palma et distribué par Arfolk en une quantité inconnue (environ 300 exemplaires selon le producteur Richard LOURY), le duo s'est séparé juste avant que l'album ne soit présenté au public ce qui le rendait assez difficile à commercialiser à l'époque. La plupart du pressage est allé à Artfolk, probablement au pilon pour ensuite se perdre dans le temps et l'espace.

MARE LA LANDE est le témoignage que le folk français des années 70 pouvait facilement rivaliser avec ses homologues anglais et américains. Avec l'expressivité d'un Bert Jansch, l'ambiance d'un coucher de soleil sur Laurel Canyon et un arrière-goût typiquement français, ce disque mérite d'être remis en lumière près de 50 ans après sa première apparition.

Avec l'accord de Patrick ROBIN, Richard Loury, Arfolk et au nom de la mémoire de Laurent ANGRAND, nous travaillons depuis quelques mois sur une réédition avec une pochette originale et un tout nouveau master pour une qualité sonore et visuelle maximale qui met en avant la particularité de ce disque singulier.
